Fall books up quickly, especially for holiday cards. We recommend booking as early as possible, at least 3 to 4 weeks out. Peak times fill fast year-round, so 2 to 3 weeks of notice is a good minimum in any season. The earlier you book, the more options you have. Once a time is booked, it's gone.
We shoot rain, snow, or shine. Light overcast skies and light rain actually create beautiful, even lighting, so don't worry if it's not perfectly sunny. However, if there's a major storm or lightning, we'll cancel for everyone's safety and be in touch for rescheduling. You can also reschedule for free up to 72 hours before your session.
Sparq offers 30-minute and 60-minute family photo sessions. Most families with young children find that 30 minutes is enough to capture a variety of poses and candid shots without kids losing patience. The 60-minute Premium option is ideal for extended families, families with 8 or more people, or families who want more outfit or location variety.
Fall brings peak color to the wooded locations, typically from mid-October through mid-November. Summer and early fall are best for waterfront sessions when the light on the water is warmest. Golden hour ranges from around 4:45pm in deep winter to around 8:00pm in midsummer.
Most Harrisburg locations have free parking; a few require a small fee or paid lot, which is noted on each location page. Weekend afternoons are the busiest times at most locations; mornings and late afternoons tend to be quieter.
